Children in the Summer Garden

Children-s homes of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast are welcome to participate in the project. Children of two age categories - younger schoolchildren and teenagers -are given an opportunity to get acquainted with the exhibitions of the SRM, and to take part in integration workshops, led by modern artists and musicians in the Summer Garden. This workshops are meant to create a special space where orphans, "difficult" teenagers, relatively healthy children, along with professional artists, musicians, and actors will create objects of art. They will be supported by psychologists and art-physicians. As a result of the work carried out in the workshops - artistic, musical, and theatrical - fancy dresses, masks, presents to the Summer Garden will be created, and finally a play for a street performance will be written. The workshops participants will perform it, so that the Garden visitors can watch it. The festival will be concluded with fireworks open to general public.
