The Lilac Waltz city festival, which took place on 3 July, included appearances by famous florists, modelers and the best music and dance groups of St Petersburg. The sequence of interesting performances gave visitors to the Summer Garden the opportunity to plunge into the world of flowers, with lilac as the main bloom of the day. Compositions from lilacs and musical and dance "lilac" fantasies created a unique, mysterious and festive atmosphere in the Summer Garden.
