The Friends of the Russian Museum International Club
The Friends of the Russian Museum International Club was founded on 19 March 1997. Nowadays the Club includes 400 individuals, 100 firms and organisations. The Friends of the Russian Museum Club unites all those who really help the State Russian Museum and contributes to preserving the cultural heritage of the country.
The Club members participate in the life of the Russian Museum, providing financial, technical, and organisational assistance for realisation the Museum's programmes and projects. With the help of the Club many Museum projects - academic, restoration, exhibition, and educational - are realised, including the unique long-term complex Russia programme.
Besides, the Friends of the Russian Museum Club members provide various kinds of services for organisation and holding of the Museum undertakings.
Among the Honorary members of the Club are the President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the Governor of St Petersburg Valentina Matviyenko, the singer Galina Vishnevskaya, the musician Mstislav Rostropovich, the first President of Russian Federation Boris Yeltsyn, the writer Daniil Granin, and others.
The Friends of the Russian Museum International Club accept individuals and organisations:

- "Classical" bonus subscription: annual fee equals € 100
- "Special" bonus subscription: annual fee equals € 250
- "Personal" bonus subscription: annual fee equals € 500
- "Silver" bonus subscription: annual fee equals € 1000
- "Golden" bonus subscription: annual fee equals € 3000
Corporate Membership:
- "Donor" corporate bonus subscription: annual fee equals € 3000
- "Sponsor" corporate bonus subscription: annual fee equals € 5000
- "Patron" corporate bonus subscription: annual fee equals € 15 000
- "Philanthropist" corporate bonus subscription: annual fee equals € 25 000
- "Benefactor" corporate bonus subscription: annual fee equals € 50 000
- "Patron" corporate bonus subscription: annual fee from € 100 000
Family Membership:
- "Family" corporate bonus subscription: annual fee equals € 500
The Club members get discounts on the Museum entrance fees and on the exhibition catalogues. They can also take part in special events, organised exclusively for the Club members in the Palaces of the Russian Museum in St Petersburg, in other cities of Russian, and abroad.
In December 2000 the Friends of the Russian Museum Fund for the Development of the State Russian Museum was founded. It has a Board of Trustees, formed in order to revive traditions of patronage and charity, as well as to increase the efficiency of the Russian Museum activities on drawing off-budget, charity and investment means.
