White (White-columned) room

The perfect and proportional White Room is located in the centre of the enfilade on the first floor. It represents a uniquely preserved early nineteenth century St Petersburg palace interior. Not only have its pictorial and sculptural appointments survived, but so too has Rossi's original furniture and works of decorative-applied art. The White Room was regarded by contemporaries as such a perfect work of art that it was decided to present a model of it to the King of England.

For completion of the White-Columned Room interior it is necessary:

to recreate two compositions with the area 60 sq.m. in oil painting technique on the artificial marble (according to K.Rossi's watercolour) - $ 125 806.

to restore the artificial marble on the part of the wall with the area around 60 sq. m. -$ 35 484.

Approximate cost of the works - $ 161 290

At present time the interior of the White-Columned Room is also missing the gilt wooden frames around its mirrors.

Recreation of six wooden gilded frames for the mirrors of the White-Columned Room

Size of the frames - 1730 x 4450 cm.

Approximate cost of the works - $ 193 548.
