The Private Chapel is situated in the south-east corner of the mezzanine floor of the central palace wing. It was created in 1825 by Karl Rossi. Its premises are square in shape, with an internal colonnade of blue artificial marble, a cupola and upper windows (a large one in the cupola and a small one in the chancel).
The surviving ornamental frescoes (depicting the Evangelists, cherubs, dicta, the symbols of the Evangelists, etc.) and the gilt moulding were added during renovation work on the chapel between 1857 and 1859.
