The Heraldic Insignia on the palace facades
Double-headed eagles were placed in cartouches on the southern and northern facades of the palace in 1796. In the 1880s the original bronze patina eagles were replaced with plaster ones, subsequently lost after the revolution.
Documental and iconographic materials allow a presentment of the general silhouette, the nature of the decoration of the relief, certain details, the materials, the colour of the eagles and their composition in the cartouche.

Diameter of the orb above the crown - 0,2 m,
Height of the cross - 0,22 m.
Restoration of southern and northern facades' cartouches and recreation of the lost double-headed eagles and gilt orbs over the crowns.
