The Large (Gothic) Room - The Flower Room - Rotunda


The project envisages reconstruction and restoration of the decorative parquet complex in the Large (Gothic) Room and galleries, the Flower Room, Billiards Room and Rotunda, the Small Dining Room.

The parquet floors of these rooms were made from precious woods in the second half of the nineteenth century. Part of the parquet in the Large (Gothic) Room and that of the Rotunda have survived. That of the Billiards Room and the Little Dining-room have suffered losses of details.
The cost of the works on recreation the parquet floor - $ 548 387.

Reconstruction of three lost bronze chandeliers in the Large (Gothic) Room.

A possible analogy for the lost chandeliers are the chandeliers designed by Alexander Brullov now hanging in the interiors of other palaces designed by him with the application of Gothic motifs. Reconstruction of the chandeliers in the Large (Gothic) Room should take into account their proportions and the structural and decorative peculiarities of Brullov's work of the 1850s.
