The room's decor, designed by Alexander Brullov, was particularly noted for its rich moulding and sculptural appointments. Its walls were covered with raspberry-coloured damask. Bronze chandeliers fastened to the central pillar and a white marble fireplace completed the sumptuous design of the former boudoir of the Grand Duchess Alexandra Josifovna.
